Qualifications/Experience
- Qualifications: Recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
- Experience: Extensive experience in the banking sector, preferably in a financial accounting role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial reporting and analysis skills.
- Proficient in financial planning and budgeting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Result Areas
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts and monitor performance against these targets.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including IFRS and local banking regulations.
- Audits: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and resolve any audit findings.
- Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans to achieve business objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including treasury, risk management, and operations.
- Excel Modelling: Develop and maintain complex financial models using Excel to support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
