QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in Risk Management, Insurance and Marketing.
  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
  • Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
  • Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management.
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Business an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role at a reputable insurance or broking organisation.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Drive innovation and thought leadership by providing market research to identify new business opportunities and markets for sales growth.
  • Create strategic business development plan to generate new business leads and grow customer base.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Identify tenders and prepare proposals for the targeted clients.
  • Facilitate Risk Advisory Services product presentations to corporate clients and channel partners.
  • Plan and coordinate marketing initiatives for new business generation.
  • Co-create marketing material with team members and selected external parties as needed.
  • Implement approved distribution channel management strategy.
  • Recruit suitable and qualified agents and sales personnel, prepare contracts and ensure that all recruited and existing agents are fully compliant and registered with the Commissioner of Insurance.
  • Monitor and supervise the activities of distribution channels ensuring adherence to procedures and policies.
  • Increase visibility in the broker market and branches ensuring their business needs are met. Create and implement Customer Relationship Management plans in line with business strategy and values.
  • Build and maintain profitable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Keep customers updated on latest products and services.
  • Develop a culture of customer feedback to inform management decisions on products and services.
  • Coordinate and manage marketing campaigns to prospects.
  • Work with team to develop bespoke proposals for clients.
  • Develop performance contracts and work plans with team.
  • Ensure departments are adequately resourced by hiring and requesting the right staff.
  • Allocate tasks to team members, ensuring they have the right tools and coaching to complete.
  • Monitor and manage sales performance regularly to improve individual and team outcomes.
  • Respond to and resolve departmental queries and concerns promptly and with empathy.
  • Coach and performance manage team members to generate and convert leads to increase business revenue.
  • Monitor and analyse key data metrics and insights to improve team member performance.
  • Create a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Contribute to the division’s budgetary process by providing section information and requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments for the organisation and for clients, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Recommend the selection and retention of 3rd party professionals for use within the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management and advisory services.
