Qualifications/Experience
- An IT Audit & Risk degree or equivalent.
- Possession of a professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CISA, CISM).
- 3 years relevant working experience in relevant fields; Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit,Risk Management, IT and/or Operations.
- A good working knowledge of SAGE Pastel system.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Surveys functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of control to achieve established goals.
- Identifies the key control points of the system’s effectiveness through application of knowledge of business systems and an understanding of audit techniques.
- Obtains, analyses and appraises data as a base for an informed, objective opinion of the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency of performance of the activities being reviewed.
- Makes oral and/or written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the audit, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective action to ensure economic, efficient and effective operation of the system and prepares a report thereto.
- Assisting senior management to establish and communicate the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policies, objectives and direction.
- Developing risk mitigation strategies for the organization’s critical risks and monitoring these risks.Ensuring effective alignment between the (ERM) process and internal audit with team members on the findings and recommending corrective action to ensure economic, efficient and effective operation of the organization.
- Conducting compliance audits to policy and standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Facilitating and conducting risk management education and training from time to time and doing quarterly risk registers.
- Lodge and follow up insurance claim with our brokers.
- Incident Investigation: Investigating incidents and near misses to determine root cause and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensuring organisation complies with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards Working with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to loss control.
- Identifying areas where loss can be reduced without compromising safety and quality.
